COM 101 - Introduction to Mass Media

An introduction to the methods of mass communication. Examines the history and development of American mass media, media support industries and the composition of mass audiences. Explores the roles of mass media in society, media consumption habits and media influence. Investigates the power of economics, law and ethics on media messages and media industries.
